Sevilla – Getafe betting prediction

Posted by Bernard on December 19, 2009

From cold Germany now we’re a moving to a warmer Spain, accurately province of Andalucia…

Sevilla meet Getafe today at Sanchez Pizjuan stadium. After last two home matches where Sevilla won just 2 points playing draw against Valladolid and Malaga I simply can not imagine they will fail again. Even they will play without Adriano and their top scorer Luis Fabiano, Sevilla still has a lot of great players inthe team which are capable to win against Getafe. Players like Kanoute, Renato, Jesus Navas, Diego Capel and Negredo are the names that speaks for itself. Last season Getafe won 1:0 in Sevilla and today is pay back time. Still, I would recommend  precautions because Getafe didn’t play any draw game this season. They has 2 wins and 5 defeats away from home.

Sevilla played fantastic in Champions League group where they won 1st place slightly in competition of Unirea, Glasgow Rangers and Vfb Stuttgart. They’re at the 3rd place in league table while Getafe is at 8th place, 9 points behind Sevilla. Sevilla has a solid 4-3-0 home record. I believe in Sevilla’s win tonight but they will have to make a lot of effort to do that. Last week Sevilla won difficult game in Gijon 1:0 while Getafe defeated Tenerife 2:1 at home.

Sevilla is in better shape than Getafe, winning 4 for and playing 2 draws out of last 6 games, while Getafe won 3 and lost 3 games. In last 5 mutual matches at Sanchez Pizjuan Sevilla has won 3, Getafe 1 and 1 game ended draw. Vamos Sevilla!

Betting verdict: Sevilla to win @ 1,60 Bet-at-home

Final result: Sevilla – Getafe 1:2

Unbelievable, they even could lose the game!

Premier League review of round 17

Posted by Bernard on December 12, 2009

The round 17 of premier League championship offered us today a hazard results for betting.
In todays 9 games we have seen even 6 draws, 2 away and just 1 home win, made by Birmingham City versus West Ham United. For those who like to bet at draw this was a “dream day”.
But for the most of people which bet on favourites this has been a very said day. One thing is sure, bookies are rubbing their hands after these results.
Manchester City, Chelsea, Tottenham and Manchester United were obvious favourites with a small quotes, but neither of them couldn’t make a win.
League leaders, Chelsea, played just 3:3 against Everton at Stamford Bridge. Interesting thing is that was their first draw this season. Everton came to early lead in 2nd minute after Petr Chech’s mistake. But, Didier Drogba and Nicolas Anelka directed a very fast turnover to a 2:1 lead after just 23 minutes of the game. Still, Ayigbeni Yakubu equalized in last minute of first half. Didier Drogba scored again in 59th for a 3:2 lead but just 4 minutes later Louis Saha equalized again with a funny header.

Machester United afforded the biggest disappointment to your fans losing 1:0 at home to Aston Villa.
Agbonlahor scored a winning goal in the 21st minute. Manchester United knew that Chelsea played just 3:3 against everton cause their game started 2 and a half hours later but still they weren’t capable to take advantage of it and reduce the points difference versus Chelsea.
Exactly like Manchester United, Tottenham also disappointed their fans losing 0:1 at home ground to Wolverhampton.
Wolves won with a early goal scored by Doyle in 3rd minute of the game. After almost 4 months croatian midfield player Luka Modric returned to Tottenham side entering the game in 59th minute replacing Palacios.
But, not even he couldn’t provide Tottenham even a draw. Spurs were better but Wolves’s defence was very good and whithstand till the end.
Manchester City won a point at Bolton’s Reebok stadium and they can be satisfy with the final result cause they were losing 3 times! In the end they scored third equalizer when they had one man down at the field after Craig Bellamy were sent off in 64th minute after second yellow card.

Croatian striker Ivan Klasnic has scored 2 goals for the Wanderers while on the other hand Argentian star Carlos Tevez also achieved 2 goals.
In other games we have seen 4 draws. The most interesting was in Stoke where Wigan Athletics led two times versus Stoke City and still fail to reach a 90th minute penalty over Hugo Rodallega.
Round 17 will be closed tomorrow with Liverpool – Arsenal game at Anfield Road which is absolutely no bet game if you ask me.

Here is the results and scoresr of Week 17:

Stoke City – Wigan 2:2 (Sanli 37, Schowcross 74/ Boyce 15, Figueroa 72)
Birmingham – West Ham 1:0 (Bowyer 52)
Bolton – Manchester City 3:3 (Klasnic 11,53, Cahill 44/ Tevez 28,77, Richards 45)
Burnley – Fulham 1:1 (Elliott 60/ Zamora 50)
Chelsea – Everton 3:3 (Drogba 18,59, Anelka 23/ Cech (o.g.)2, Yakubu 45, Saha 64)
Hull City – Blackburn 0:0
Sunderland – Portsmouth 1:1 (Bent 23/ Kaboul 90)
Tottenham – Wolverhampton 0:1 (Doyle 3)
Manchester United – Aston Villa 0:1 (Agbonlahor 21)
